What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbers Helper/Apprentice position at J. Blanton Plumbing?
Plumbers Helper/ Apprentice
Duties:
- Assist journeyman/journeywoman plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems
- Learn and perform basic plumbing tasks such as pipe threading, soldering, and fitting
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing plumbing issues
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Provide excellent customer service during field service visits
- Participate in remodeling projects and new construction installations
Experience:
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths
- Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is a plus
- Previous experience in plumbing or experience with power/ hand tools is great but not required.
