The Role:
The FP&A Manager works as part of the corporate finance team within JD Power. Responsibilities include monthly forecasting, leading MD&A for assigned products & analytical support. Key success factors for this position include the ability to organize & execute; strong problem-solving skills; comfort with spreadsheet and database software; sense of ownership within assigned domain; strong people and communication skills. The ideal FP&A Manager is a fast learner and logical thinker with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy while meeting tight timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly forecast process for assigned product area
- Monthly and quarterly business reviews with stakeholders
- Development & maintenance of KPI reporting
- Support monthly accounting close by providing revenue reviews or other support
- Provide monthly contribution margin reporting for assigned product area
- Business case support & reporting on New Product Development
- Oversight and tracking on internally developed software projects
- Actively manage financial reporting of new acquisitions as assigned
- Work closely with operations & accounting partners to enhance business processes
- Engage in ad-hoc financial analysis, including special projects at the request of the CFO
- Work with complex data and derive valuable insights
Qualifications:
- University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years FP&A or Financial Analysis experience is preferred
- Certification in Management accounting or Financial Analysis an asset, but not required
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Expertise in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.) required
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce & Coupa preferred, but not required
- Experience extracting, transforming & loading data sets into models an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management required
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
- General familiarity with finance and accounting principles
- Knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting, and operations
- Ability to set and manage priorities within required deadlines
- Self-motivated, directed, and detail-oriented
- Experience with analysis, metrics & reporting is required
