Job Posting for Accountant at J & J Staffing Resources
Our client, located in Lawrenceville, NJ, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the nonprofit sector. You will be responsible for completing complex reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
This is a full time, on-site, temporary position starting early June and lasting for 6 months.
Pay Rate: $27-$33/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to- date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger entries.
- Complete bank and account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investigate and follow up on discrepancies and open items to ensure resolution.
- Assist in the preparations of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred.
- Working knowledge of fund accounting principles.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency with technology and accounting software’s.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
