Job Summary
The mission of the Gaming Service Technician is to troubleshoot, service, and repair video gaming equipment at customer establishments throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The technician responds to service calls, resolves customer issues, and supports management in maintaining strong customer service within the Commonwealth. The successful candidate must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver’s license and good driving record, and pass Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board requirements which includes fingerprinting.
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls for equipment repairs in an efficient manner by prioritizing calls according to urgency and current location.
- Secure, handle, and transport currency with professionalism and precision.
- Safe transport and accounting of issued funds assigned daily.
- Identify and prepare all equipment in collaboration with Compliance and Service teams.
- Identify and troubleshoot all malfunctions to perform necessary repairs of electronic gaming devices and equipment.
- Install, inspect, and test electronic gaming devices, hardware, equipment, and associated systems as required for efficient, continuous business operations.
- Interact with clerks, management, and customers to resolve issues as they arise.
- Complete all necessary documentation for device entry and logs.
- Ensure quality and integrity of all incoming and outgoing equipment.
- Identify and communicate inventory needs for equipment to ensure minimal downtime and rapid turnaround of product.
- Accurate and detailed recordkeeping of fund transactions.
- Generation and collection of machine activity reports.
- Follow all department, company, and state policies and procedures.
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience troubleshooting/repairing VGT’s preferred but not required.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Proficient in the use of electrical instruments (i.e., gauges, meters, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Strong electronic/mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, managers, and across departments.
- Ability to use basic Excel spreadsheets.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will spend most of the time driving in various conditions and moving equipment between vehicle and worksite in both indoor and outdoor conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit during travel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
Travel within the state is required for this position.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to pass Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board requirements which includes fingerprinting and drug testing.
