Artisan Technology Group has an outstanding opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join a well-established company based in Champaign for over 20 years.

Our company's primary focus is the sales and support of high-end electronic test and measurement equipment for commercial, industrial, and military applications. The Engineering Technician handles a wide variety of specialized electronic test and measurement equipment. Suitable applicants have an electronics background with experience in testing and troubleshooting.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Equipment evaluation, testing, and repair
  • Verify technical accuracy of published information
  • Create and refine documented test procedures
  • Work with equipment vendors to obtain documentation, software, and technical information
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
  • Electronic troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and computer skills are required.
  • Training is on-site and set to the pace and capability of the candidate.
  • Technical skills required:
    • Understanding of basic electronics: capacitors, resistors, diodes, etc.
    • Reading schematics
    • Soldering and circuit board work
Full-Time Position:
  • Flexible Schedule
  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday at our facility in Champaign
  • Full Benefits
Wage range starts at $25.00 per hour and increases with background, qualifications, and experience. Full-Time benefits include health care, dental care, 401k, paid vacation, and paid holidays.

Part-Time / Internship Position:
For our Engineering Technician Internships, the internship is developed for students enrolled in a college or university working towards or graduate with an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering Degree to assist our engineers and technicians with short-term projects and offers exposure to a wide variety of specialized electronic equipment. Part-Time position is 20-30 hours per week, standard workday, Monday through Friday. Starting wage range is $15.00 - $22.00 per hour and increases with background, qualifications, and experience.
