A PUBLIC HEALTH CONSULTING DIRECTOR ROLE

As the Public Health Consulting Director, you will serve in a leadership role that implements and manages JMC company-wide initiatives to help achieve short- and long-term goals. This role assists the CEO/President and Vice Presidents in the successful growth of the Company as it relates to the areas of Epidemiology, Terminology, Laboratory, Data Science, and Training. The Director provides expertise, leadership and coaching to ensure execution of proper controls, organizational policies, reporting procedures, and people systems, to achieve organization mission, goals, financial strength, and operating efficiency.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and lead multiple assigned teams and managers modeling and fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) processes and tools.
  • Direct initiatives to achieve sales, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives.
  • Forecast industry and company trends, assesses company-wide and industry and data.
  • Execute company strategies and responses. Champion open and diverse communication paths.
  • Mentor and coach managers and teams on core values behaviors. Practice and champion respect, belonging and habits of inclusion in the workplace.
  • Oversee internal policy development, regulatory records, and proper processes. Embrace and lead policy change and drive execution among assigned teams.
  • Assure, oversee, and maintain quality and satisfaction of relationships with internal and external clients, partners, and other interested parties.
  • Provide guidance and leadership on staffing, retention, and succession to ensure the right mix of disciplines, talent and growth objectives are met.
  • Develop and manage training, career development, and budget plans. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) leads to ensuring employees receive necessary training.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within JMC.
  • Implement and ensure continuous improvement activities and measures to increase quality.
  • Expand on revenue-generating capabilities and maximize return on investment (ROI) in area of expertise.
  • Identify opportunities to improve work environments and promote JMC culture.
  • Foster and champion change management.
  • Accountable to area of responsibility as agreed with Vice President.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Full oversight of assigned managers, multiple teams and areas of interest including costs, budgets, legal compliance, and best practice standards.
  • Oversight and approval of salary and hire/fire decisions for multiple assigned managers and teams.
  • Management of assigned budget(s).


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors' degree in field of expertise or fifteen plus years related experience, including experience in a management role, and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to effectively lead managers with a team-player approach.
  • Leadership mindset to continually think of new and innovative ways to build, execute, and direct execution and company processes.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to consume, understand and make data-driven decisions.
  • Mathematical and financial skills for budgeting responsibilities.
  • People-focused to be effective at mentoring and connecting with managers.
  • Intelligent and articulate in relating to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Decisive yet open-minded and able to adapt to different situations quickly.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • Strong technical skills and a mindset of using technology as an enabler to solve business challenges/needs.
  • Well-organized and self-directed with "political savvy".
  • Trustworthy with willingness to share information transparently.
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret contracts and other legal documents.
