Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory operations and providing patient care. Your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures will be essential in ensuring accurate test results and maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment. Duties: - Perform laboratory procedures such as specimen collection, processing, and analysis - Follow established protocols and maintain accurate records of tests performed - Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper labeling and storage - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments - Adhere to strict quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision of test results - Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies - Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with safety standards - Provide exceptional patient service by answering inquiries and addressing concerns - Practice aseptic technique to prevent contamination during specimen handling - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of test results - Stay updated on current laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and industry trends Experience: - Previous experience working in a laboratory or healthcare setting is preferred - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is required - Familiarity with laboratory techniques and procedures is highly desirable - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy - Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals We offer competitive pay based on experience.
