Summary and Responsibilities:

Collection, organization, and analysis of data relating to in house/contract research, feedlot production, and cow-calf production for the Simplot Land & Livestock Group.

Organize and maintain dairy heifer, feedlot, and cow/calf health and performance records. Assist protocol and compliance. Assist to develop budgets for in house/contract research projects.

Quality control of fine details of research and other projects Sample collection, preparation, and submission Field data collection Veterinary assistance Monitor and troubleshoot data systems including software and hardware packages.

Prepare and maintain electronic equipment. ie GrowSafe, Tenxsys, etc. Summarize and document project results. Participate in genetic evaluation and assisted reproductive technologies.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma.

3-5 years experience in agriculture preferred, with emphasis on data collection and statistics; general livestock background Excellent computer skills including Excel spreadsheet, access data base, pivot tables and graphs.

Detail oriented, organized, ability to communicate clearly with work crews and management.
