To perform this Director of Human Resources / Accounts Payable Clerk position successfully, an individual will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function by guiding and managing the policies and programs for the entire company. This individual must be professional, likeable and able to communicate effectively to J&S Construction’s internal and external customers. Although, previous HR Experience is a Bonus, it is not required. The ideal candidate must be great with people and inspired to assist in helping the J&S Family succeed.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing HR leadership to assess, create and implement people strategies and processes to support performance management, employee development, succession planning, and talent acquisition.
- Works directly with the leadership team to create development plans that continue to feed and grow the talent pipeline.
- Facilitates all on-boarding and new employee training.
- Liaison with benefits vendors to maximize health benefits for the team.
- Maintains responsibility for company compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Assists leadership team with team member reviews, and responsible for preparation and administration of company’s wage and salary program.
- Coordinates and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
- Works directly with leadership team to assist in carrying out the responsibilities of personnel matters.
- Builds strong, positive professional relationships with stakeholders.
- Must be approachable and able to always follow up with any/all personnel matters.
- Understands how to deal effectively with people and knows how to moderate important conversations within the company, helping improve company culture and performance.
- The individual will also be responsible for accounts payable entry which requires, on average, one day a week.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Understanding of Industry (preferred not required)
- Proficient computer and communications skills
