Summary:

(EDI) analysts are technical consultants who design, implement, and maintain data interchange systems between companies or departments. They analyze the needs of the business and design a system to efficiently transfer information between multiple parties. They also maintain EDI systems and train end-users.
We are seeking a talented EDI analyst to design and install data interchange systems for our clients. In this role, you will be meeting with clients to understand their data interchange needs, designing appropriate EDI systems, and training them on the use of the system. You may also be required to periodically update and maintain the system. To be successful as an EDI analyst, you should have in-depth knowledge of software programming languages, expert troubleshooting skills, and experience with end-user training. An expert EDI analyst should be able to design and install a scalable, user-friendly system that perfectly meets the needs of the client.

Responsibilities:

• Performs analysis related to solution design, development, testing, maintenance, and support for EDI interfaces and systems, both to and from the Clients trading partnersand core business systems, with duties including but not limited to: applications.
• Monitoring and maintaining EDI exchanges and transaction processing andmaintaining the accuracy of production healthcare EDI transactions and processes.
• Serving as the primary point of contact in resolving issues related to production EDI transactions related to claims, payments, enrollment, provider data, real time transactions, clearinghouse activities and other proprietary EDI formats.
• Auditing data to ensure the accuracy of information supplied to/from providers and trading partners.
• Supporting EDI leads with True commerce systems, vendors, and business partners,project completion, rollout of applications, integrations, processes, and fixes.
• Performing analysis and operational technical support for client.
• Meeting with clients to discuss their data interchange needs.
• Analyzing business systems, networking configurations, and data storage facilities.
• Building customized data interchange systems for cross-company or department use.
• Testing and debugging the system.
• Gathering user feedback on the accuracy, efficiency, and functionality of the system.
• Adjusting and customizing the system based on user feedback.
• Deploying completed systems and providing maintenance support.
• Training end-users on the proper use of the system.

Skills:

• Software programming – EDI analysts are adept at using the various programming languages most used to create systems that exchange electronic data
• System design expertise – using strong software design and architecture principles, EDI analysts create systems that work logically and efficiently
• Troubleshooting – EDI analysts leverage their understanding of system architecture and programming languages to identify the source of problems and make repairs
• Analytical thinking – analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of a particular course of action is necessary at almost every stage of a system’s life cycle, whether it be the initial design process, testing, or troubleshooting
• Communication skills – EDI analysts are active listeners who can translate the needs of a business or client into a technical solution, then communicate that solution back to them in a way that is easily understood

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• True Commerce experience.
• Advanced knowledge of software programming and coding languages including C , Java, XML, CSV, and SQL.
• Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent knowledge of software design and architecture principals.
• Ability to project manage and work with large teams.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with end-user training.
