GENERAL PURPOSE
The Accountant role will oversee various accounting functions including daily sales journal entries, invoice processing, financial reviews, vendor communications, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced problem-solving abilities, and a track record of driving process improvements and accountability.
POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and post daily restaurant sales journal entries, including petty cash adjustments.
  • Process invoices, review for accuracy and completeness, and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Record payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
  • Assist in month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct financial reviews, analyze income statements and balance sheet accounts.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
  • Track vendor account information and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and implement process improvements.
  • Multi-site capability and willingness to travel occasionally if necessary.
