Jack Sprat Restaurant is located in Girdwood, Alaska. We have one position opening up for a morning Sous Chef. We are seeking a working kitchen manager with Pastry and Cooking experience. The right candidate is someone who enjoys working with a small team, but who is also self-motivated and able to oversee production. A motivated person can expect advancement based on a consistent positive work ethic.

Jack Sprat is an independently owned and operated, full-service restaurant at the base of Alyeska Mountain. Serving world cuisine in a cozy casual setting. We create health-conscious food with a balance between meat and vegan choices. Jack Sprat is open year-round. Our service is five nights per week with a focus on fresh and local ingredients.

The community of Girdwood is a small mountain town. Girdwood is unique and friendly with access to the "big city" of Anchorage, just 40 miles away along a national scenic byway. Jack Sprat is a fun and creative restaurant. We are looking to add to our team to meet the demands of our growing customer base and bustling summer season. Please apply if you are:

Qualifications:
  • Oversee orders, prep, and production.
  • Menu development with a focus on baking.
  • Efficient knife skills and butchering a plus.
  • Clean and organized
