Jackpocket is the first mobile lottery app in the U.S. that offers players a secure way to order official state lottery tickets, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, and more, via their smartphones. We're creating a more convenient, fun, and responsible way to play the lottery by modernizing the $300B global lottery market with a mobile platform that everyone, including grandma, can feel good about.
As Jackpocket’s Director of FP&A, you'll have a highly visible and cross functional role supporting the CFO and broader Executive team on goal setting, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives such as marketing deals and other commercial partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the financial model, annual budget, forecasts, and all forwarding looking financial plans
- Own the maintenance and continued calibration of the NetSuite planning & budgeting tool
- Assist the Senior Manager of Finance with monthly budgeting and conduct analyses on revenue, operational KPIs, and compensation
- Lead the preparation of board materials, investor requests, and state entry analysis
- Collaborate with analytics to assess key financial and operational KPIs such as LTV, CAC, cohort analysis, ticket processing metrics. etc.
- Evaluate and analyze M&A opportunities and present findings to leadership
- Drive collaboration, understanding and clear accountability on financial performance across all teams at Jackpocket, often working with analytics, marketing & HR
- Enthusiastically pursue variances from expectations, digging deep into the whys and implications for the future
Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive experience in investment banking, management consulting, FP&A, or business operations
- Mastery of financial modeling with an understanding of complex data structures and architecture
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Comfortable with data and able find it independently
- Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Strong project manager, capable of conceiving and executing projects independently, with minimal oversight
- CPA or MBA a plus
