Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly
Job Shift: Day (Mon-Fri Some Weekends)
Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Operate powered equipment in trimming golf course greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
- Lay sod.
- Seed tees and fairways.
- Maintain sand traps.
- Assist with irrigation repairs.
- Hand water.
- Edge bunkers, sprinkler heads and yardage markers.
- Work on landscaping and improvement projects.
- Set up course.
- Maintain ball washers.
- Pick up garbage.
- Prune trees and shrubs.
- Maintain shrubs, flowers and landscaping.
- Rake debris and leaves.
- Remain alert, and inform management if anything appears out of the ordinary.
- May work with large equipment including tractors, skid loaders and other maintenance equipment.
- May be asked to perform tasks outside of job description due to diversity of work required in golf course maintenance.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in grounds and maintenance work helpful.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES
- Basic knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and maintenance work.
- Knowledge and understanding of golf.
- Able to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
- Able to follow written and oral directions.
- Able to work well with others.
- Friendly, courteous demeanor.
- Detail-oriented.
- Team player.
UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
- Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Mobility throughout the facility.
- Able to walk extensively.
- Able to bend and stoop repeatedly.
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
