Purpose:
Provides leadership for the strategic and operational direction for defined patient care areas, including emergency, trauma, cardiopulmonary in accordance with hospital guidelines and organizational/nursing philosophies. Key accountabilities include: Establish safety as a core value; ensure that quality assurance/performance improvement plans promote excellence in patient outcomes; ensure injury prevention education based on identified needs; maintain personnel compliance with regulatory and professional standards; foster interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; oversight of human, fiscal, material and environmental resources.
Employment Status: FTE 1.0
Working Hours: As Schedule Indicates/Needed
Work Schedule Details: Monday-Friday mostly days; can vary.
Education: Bachelor's Degree; Masters Degree preferred
Qualifications Include: 2 year of experience manager/supervisory in ED environment preferred, Iowa Licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, Dependent Adult & Child Mandatory Reporter. Must complete TNCC & CPI within 1 year.
