Head Nanny & Family Assistant
Location:
- Austin, TX (Base)
- Jackson Hole, WY (May-August) yearly
Start Date:
- August or earlier in Jackson Hole. Would like to trial people in June-July if possible.
Compensation:
- $35-$40 per hour plus overtime. This equates to $83K-100K annually.
- Live-out position while in Austin and live in while in Jackson and traveling
- Health and dental insurance
- 2 weeks vacation
- 5 sick days
Schedule:
- Rotate days with another nanny: 7:30am-7:30pm. Average 50 hours a week. There are times that both nannies will working.
- Availability for evenings, sleepovers, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Flexibility for international and domestic travel
- Variable schedule: 4-7 days on, at least 2 consecutive days off. Flexibility is KEY but typically you will know your schedule at least a month in advance.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and proactive head nanny to join our loving, healthy, and well-organized household. This role requires someone who can seamlessly transition between childcare and family assistant duties, and who is capable of leading a super team including another nanny and possible other staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Childcare: Ensure the safety, well-being, and mental stimulation of our three active children 4,6,9. Manage their daily schedules, including school pick-ups, extracurricular activities, playdates, and evening routines. Children are in school M-F during the school year so a large portion of this position is household management daily while kids are in school.
- Household Management: Oversee family calendars, meal planning/prepping, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and organization of children’s wardrobes and play areas.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and collaborate with the other nanny and staff to maintain an efficient and harmonious household.
- Travel Preparation: Manage packing/unpacking and inventory of children’s and household items for travel.
- Family Assistance: Handle errands, grocery shopping, coordinating with household vendors, and managing household supplies.
Ideal Candidate:
- Personality: Outgoing, positive, can-do attitude, high energy, and team player.
- Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, excellent communicator, and master of logistics.
- Experience: Extensive experience with multiple children and in similar roles. Background in children’s education is a plus.
- Lifestyle: Lives an active and healthy lifestyle, comfortable with holistic health care, and passionate about children and family well-being.
- Flexibility: Adaptable, able to pivot with changing schedules, and comfortable traveling.
Qualifications:
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Valid U.S. passport
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Ability to cook healthy meals ( follow a recipe)and snacks
- Comfortable with managing household tasks and running errands
- Experienced with packing/unpacking and preparing for travel
