Shipping Clerk

Position: SHIPPING CLERK

Hours: 7am -3:30 Pm Monday – Friday

Wages: $15.40-$18.60/ hr.- Based on tenure.

Reports to: Shipping Manager

Expectations:

At Werner Paddles, we manufacture some of the high-performance paddles on the planet. Our shipping team helps to develop more efficient ways to pack and ship out products. It is a fast-paced and exciting environment.

General Responsibilities

This is not just a desk job you will be working in both the warehouse and office. You will be scheduling carriers for pickups and creating bill of lading for the shipments. You will also be picking/packing the product . Candidate should be very familiar or proficient with UPS & FedEx systems.

Specific Responsibilities

-Pick orders by pulling parts accurately and efficiently -Pack and process orders, boxing and labeling

-Maintain and follow customer-specific shipping criteria -Receive and store materials and finished goods

-Work closely with production, planning and customer service to maintain an optimum level of teamwork -_Receive repairs accurately and within a defined timeline -_Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling containers. • Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment. -Develops and keeps track of metrics to ensure on-time delivery dates are met. • Ships items by verifying identifying information and quantity and condition of items; loading and protecting items. • Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information. • Maintains shipping and receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed materials; • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications:

Qualified candidate must have strong computer skills, good communication skills, be detailed oriented, and be a self-starter. Must have Prior Shipping Experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a shipping environment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee may be working in a hot environment.
