Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information concerning the financial, personal, and medical or employment status of patients/families at JPMC.
Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.
Must report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action.
Must participate in safety instructional programs.
Answer and screens telephone calls in a courteous manner, and record messages for physician and other personnel.
Schedule patient appointments and procedures according to established policies and procedures.
Obtain accurate information from patients and ensure all registration forms are complete.
Gather out of office encounters from providers to ensure information is sent to the CBO and recorded on Excel spreadsheet for the SOX audit monthly report.
Maintain organization and efficiency of front office, including office supply inventory.
Work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff.
Be flexible and respond to changing demands.
Assist with location, operation, and maintenance of equipment and supplies
Incorporates a positive professional attitude into the clinic with other employees.
Ensures staffing levels are met, up to and including, working in the position as needed
Completes patient referrals in a timely manner.
Provides assistant functions to patients, (i.e. personal care, ambulating, transports.)
Provide Clinical or Front Office coverage as needed; must be knowledgeable of procedures in the practice to provide accurate coverage.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma required.
