The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional football team and a member of the National Football League’s AFC South Division. The Jaguars are one of the NFL’s youngest franchises, playing their first regular season home game on September 3, 1995 in Jacksonville, Fla., and have since won four division titles. Summary

The Financial Analyst will be tasked with completing the preliminary activities necessary to produce the monthly financial reporting package as well as interfacing regularly with members of the accounting department to achieve this goal. The Financial Analyst will participate in the annual budget preparation process and provide support to the FP&A team by producing and assisting with any ad hoc financial analysis. Job Responsibilities
- Compile financial information to prepare annual operating and capital budgets including synthesizing data into presentations for upper management.
- Update departmental expense budget templates with current year actuals, updating for projections and providing qualitative analysis on a monthly basis.
- Proactively investigate unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations amount financial statement line items
- Participate in monthly review meetings with department heads to assess actual vs. budgeted expense and reassess forecast year-end projections.
- Create annual budget workpapers to support all values included in annual budget.
- Develop and implement technology solutions for enhancing organizational financial performance.
- Build ad hoc financial reports as needed for executive and management analysis.
- Maintain corporate travel and expense system (Concur); train new users and troubleshoot user issues.
- Other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

- 1 – 2 years of professional experience in Finance or Accounting
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office application such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Team player with independent initiative.
- Thorough and analytical attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Keen eye for process improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends during busier times.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with ability to manage concurrent projects/timelines to meet deadlines.
