What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gameday Intern position at Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Baseball Club?
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are seeking qualified candidates to serve as Gameday Interns. Gameday interns will be asked to work all 75 home games throughout the 2024 baseball season at 121 Financial Ballpark. The 2024 season begins on Friday, March 29th and concludes on Sunday, September 22nd. Gameday interns will be exposed to a variety of elements of the operation including (but not limited to) ticket taking, ticket selling, I.D. checking, merchandise sales, 50/50 Raffle sales, Kids Zone, food, and beverage, and on field promotions.
Gameday interns will generally report to the ballpark between 3pm to 4pm on gamedays with evening starts, earlier for afternoon games or special events, and will complete their on-site time within one hour of completion of that night’s game.

- Currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Event Planning, Business, or a related field.
- Strong passion for sports.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to all fans.
- Professionalism, friendliness, and a strong work ethic.
- Highly organized and able to multitask effectively.
- Responsible and trustworthy with respect to showing up on time and when expected.
- The position requires someone to work long hours at certain periods over the year which includes weekends and holidays.
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment.
