The role of advertising coordinator acts as a liaison between Jacksonville Magazine and its advertising partners and event partnerships and other clients. The advertising coordinator position oversees fulfillment of all print and digital advertisements, both purchased by clients and scheduled internally. In addition, the post entails helping plan advertising campaigns, working with sponsors and planning events. Writing capabilities and exemplary communication skills are of great benefit.
Among the expected duties are: obtaining materials and instructions necessary to fulfill ad contract obligations; communicate with ad clients and sponsors on behalf of Jacksonville Magazine; coordinate and obtain accurate layout instructions to the creative team; monitor ads to ensure accuracy; help organize and schedule interviews and other forms of content creation, such as writing, photography and more.
The position interacts daily with clients and staff, requiring a positive and collaborative attitude. There must be an organized approach to work, strong attention to detail, and an ability to self-check and correct mistakes. An advertising coordinator must be able to track multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines.
