As a Grant Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in our success by overseeing the following exciting responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.
- Develop and write compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder guidelines and requirements.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to gather necessary information for grant proposals.
- Conduct strategic planning to identify funding needs and priorities.
- Manage the grant application process, including submission, tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's programs, goals, and outcomes.
- Monitor progress of funded projects and provide regular reports to funders.
- Assist in the development of program budgets and financial reports for grant applications.
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in a nonprofit or government setting.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles, grant funding sources, and best practices in grant writing.
- Proficiency in researching funding opportunities and using databases to identify potential funders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in program development and evaluation is a plus.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial report writing is preferred.
- Proficiency in contract management is desirable.
