STATUS: Full-time; Seasonal
SCHEDULE: May 13, 2024 - June 16, 2024: Monday-Friday (5) Day work week averaging 40 hrs
June 17, 2024 - August 30, 2024: Wednesday-Sunday (5) Day work week averaging 45 hrs
REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities, Safety, and Security
DEPARTMENT: Facilities
SUPERVISES: Parking Attendants, Custodians, Facilities Associates
WORKS WITH: Onsite Law Enforcement, Patron Services Team, Health Office Staff
COMPENSATION: $27.00-30.00 per hour
BENEFITS: Onsite room and board (three meals/day) will be provided beginning May 13—free access to classes, performances, talks, and studio usage.
We are looking for an Evening Facilities Shift Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of various functional areas during evening hours at our festival. Responsible for supervising a diverse team across parking, custodial, maintenance, and security, you will be the key point of contact for all operational matters during the evening shift. Your leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple functions will contribute to the overall success of the festival and enhance the experience for both staff and attendees.

Responsibilities
- Supervise Operational Staff: Lead and manage a team across parking, custodial, maintenance, and security functions, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and delivering high-quality service.
- Coordinate Shift Activities: Plan, organize, and oversee all operational activities during the evening shift, including staff assignments, breaks, and task rotations.
- Ensure Safety and Security: Implement and enforce security protocols to guarantee the safety of staff, attendees, and festival assets. Collaborate with security personnel to respond effectively to any incidents.
- Oversee Parking Management: Direct the efficient flow of traffic and parking operations, optimizing available space and ensuring a positive experience for festival-goers.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Supervise custodial staff to ensure that all areas of the festival grounds are clean, well-maintained, and presentable throughout the evening.
- Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Manage maintenance tasks, addressing issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintaining a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Address Emergencies: Act as the point of contact for any emergencies or unexpected situations, coordinating responses and communicating effectively with relevant parties.
- Proven Leadership: Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role, leading teams to success in a fast-paced environment.
- Event Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with festival or event operations, particularly in areas such as parking, custodial, maintenance, and security.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, vendors, and event attendees.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evening hours and weekends as required, with the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, ensuring smooth coordination of various operational aspects.

- Working regularly in wooded areas with exposure to native wildlife including, but not limited to, rodents, ticks and mosquitos.
- Working regularly outdoors in all weather conditions, including inclement weather.
- Working a 5-day work week, including late evenings and weekends.
- Moving equipment up to 50 lbs alone or with assistance.
- Moving through and between multiple locations throughout the entire campus.
- Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Working at heights above 6 feet.
- Ascending and descending straight and step ladders.
- Operating push-around or drivable person lifts, including at heights.
