Construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, wiring harnesses, cables, etc. in single or production quantities from mechanical drawings.
Testing and verification of the parts against the drawings.
The Assembler shall have certifications (such as NASA) as required by the particular Technical Task Order or engineering drawings.
Works from detail configuration drawings, wire lists, and cable rundown lists for proper inter-system equipment connections.
Tailors and fabricates cable assemblies as required.
Installs cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and for proper cable routing.
Uses hand tools and portable power tools, as required, to perform wire-wrap and terminal connection installation.
Performs other related duties, as required.
Uses general-purpose visual and audible testing instruments to verify correctness of work.
Assists other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel in the performance of their work, consistent with own background and training.
