We are looking for CEI Inspector to add to our team in Little Rock, AR. Join Jacobs and work alongside our technical experts to provide contributions to the development of new techniques and standards. In this role, you will be responsible for on-site survey work and inspection of contract construction necessary to ensure compliance to design plans and specifications. This role will be located on the project site and is in direct contact with the Prime Contractor, Senior Inspector and Materials Testing Technician. Key Skills and Characteristics:
- Inspect materials used by contractor on highway construction on-site and document compliance with specifications.
- Perform variety of surveying assignments including supervision of survey party.
- Document pay quantities for current and final estimates.
- Inspect various phases of contractor work to ensure proper highway construction.
- Perform tests for specification compliance.
- Employee is required to frequently drive a company vehicle to various job locations.
- Adhere to the Jacobs Quality Control Plan
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Construction Aide on bridge and/or roadway construction projects or equivalent experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A valid State’s driver’s license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software, and the use of Microsoft Windows operating system
- Knowledge of surveying, engineering, construction plans and specifications, and highway materials sampling and testing procedures.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Certification in Soils/Earthwork and Portland Cement Concrete Testing by the Technician Certificate Program at the Mack-Blackwell Rural Transportation Study Center, or equivalent certification.
- Working knowledge of SiteManager software
