As a Compressor Advisor based in Southern California, you’ll have the opportunity to act in a technical role with primary responsibility for tuning and troubleshooting engines and compressors (compressor units). Expertise in performance testing, troubleshooting, tuning, emission compliance, operation, maintenance, and repair of compressor units.
We'll also ask you to:
- Primarily tasks related to activities at western most stations, Goleta, Ventura, and Playa Del Rey, but scope of contract includes requests for other stations.
- Work at Goleta includes emission tuning activities on a quarterly or monthly basis as needed, and support of Air Fuel Ratio Controller replacement project to back up SoCalGas Compressor Advisor. Person in this position may not need to work every quarter or month, but rather coordinating work with SoCalGas to ensure station is supported.
- Work at Playa Del Rey includes supporting HyperFuel and Selective Catalytic Reduction installation projects on an as needed basis.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- Some travel required but should be minimal since most work is at Goleta. Playa Del Rey is the most likely place that would require overnight stays.
- Potions reports to Goleta since most of the work is there.
- Position will report directly to client.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is preferred
- Requires ten years of experience in Transmission, Distribution, and/or Customer Service Field operations and related technologies and processes

Typical salary range for this position is $60.67/hour to $94.78/hour , and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
