As a Construction Management Professional, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Construction Manager in Salt Lake City, Utah who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo.

We'll Expect You To:

• Provide Construction Management support for the construction of water and wastewater facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, and related projects located within Salt Lake City and the state of Utah
• Conduct or assist with pre-construction conferences
• Supervise and direct field staff that may include inspectors, resident engineers, and administrative personnel
• Conduct site meetings dealing with Contractor work progress, schedule, coordination, record drawing as well as problem exposure and resolution meetings
• Coordinate issue resolution arising from the inspection process or from contract administration
• Planning and scheduling all or part of the onsite staff and staff that come to the site on an intermittent basis; schedule surveyors and testing laboratories as necessary
• Negotiate and resolve Change Order Requests and Request For Quotation proposals on behalf of the Owner
• Keep all parties of the contract informed of clarifications and interpretations required for proper execution of the contract.

• Strong technical skills in engineering and construction management 
• An understanding of the administrative, contractual, financial and business aspects of construction operations
• Competent computer skills to include MS Word and Excel are required, with a strong working knowledge of a scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P3 or SureTrak
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction industry with an emphasis in varied range of wastewater and water treatment related projects, and experience in managing construction projects

Ideally, You'll Also Have\:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline is desired – emphasis in water and/or wastewater engineering is desired
• A Master's degree in construction management is desired but not required
• Certification as a registered Professional Engineer for the State of Utah is desired, but not required
• Certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) is desired, but not required
• Construction contracting experience is desired
