About the Opportunity:
Jacobs Engineering are currently recruiting an Electrical Designer within our design team to strengthen our existing capability for several new and exciting projects in the Cities and Places sector.
Position Summary
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve them.
• Has extensive knowledge in specialized function, and a strong understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
• Develops processes that require innovation and ingenuity.
• Work performed under minimal supervision.
• Interacts with internal and external personnel on matters of significant importance.
• Performs work of a more complex scope.

10 years of experience required
Drafting/design and related course work or Associates of Applied Science degree in electrical technology is required or 15 years of experience in place of associates.
REVIT Experience is preferred
Knowledge of detailed electrical design for commercial and industrial facilities including equipment layouts, lighting design, branch circuiting, feeder sizing and routing, equipment schedules and panelboard schedules and the creation of electrical construction
details.Strong communication skills both verbal and written

The base salary range for this position is $52,800 to $141,400. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
