What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineering Intern position at Jacobs?
The Engineering Integration Group within Jacobs is searching for a highly motivated and technically competent Electrical Engineering intern. The candidate will be part of a rapid development team that delivers high end microelectronics from concept thru delivery to safeguard the US from threats at home and abroad.
The candidate will support production and engineering utilizing RF test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum, and network analyzers to troubleshoot failures of PCAs. They will also write test reports and perform failure analysis of the failures they identified
Primary responsibilities:
• Support design engineers by breadboarding and troubleshooting prototype circuits.
• Support production by troubleshooting PCAs that failed testing to the component level.
• Test final prototype assemblies and subassemblies prior to committing to production.
• Analyze failures and work with engineers to resolve potential issues.
• Write test reports/documentation
Here’s What You’ll Need:
• U.S. Citizenship
• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program (must be at least a rising Sophomore)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office program
• Hands on electronics analysis and debug experience
• Data analysis
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Works well as part of a team
• Good problem-solving skills
