Your Impact:
We’re seeking a Jr. Piping Designer in Pittsburgh, PA to prepare Piping design packages for our metals, industrial, chemical, pulp & paper, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical clients. You’ll prepare construction package drawings from 3D models for Process equipment arrangements and Piping systems or 2D dimensional plans, sections, details, and schedule drawings. You’ll receive project assignments from the project lead and work with other coworkers to perform project related tasks including field investigations and interface with clients & vendors. We’ll lean on you to collaborate with related disciplines, designers, and engineers from other disciplines to create high quality multi-discipline drawing packages for issue to clients. You’ll be a key member on our piping team by being responsible for the assigned portion of the scope and schedule.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to applicable CAD standards for Equipment Arrangement and Piping design packages within an A&E firm.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASME, ASHRAE, IPC and NFPA.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- 6-8 years of demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to applicable CAD standards for Equipment Arrangement and Piping design packages within an A&E firm.
- Proficiency in Revit and Smartplant.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines.
