Reporting directly to the Technical Services Lead, the successful candidate will augment client’s Facilities staff on site using software and resources (AutoCAD, ProjectWise, Maximo, LMBuildings and Microsoft Office Suite) utilizing industry best practices and client’s design criteria and standards. Develops interior architectural and engineering design concepts which are practical, safe and maintainable, conducive to intended purpose and function, reflects client goals and are within project budget and schedule. Work split between office and field (600-acre campus). Extensive end-user interface.
You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skill level as you work among a collaborative and innovative team of Architects and Designers to perform architectural design assignments, using prescribed methods and standards. You’ll help us engage with clients and subcontractors as you design interior space layouts and exterior appearance and detailing of our client’s advanced facilities. Working with the other members of our team, you will further develop your design capabilities, communication skills, hand sketches, and computer based 3D and illustration knowledge. The base salary range for this position is $40,00 - $65,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations [add if remote]. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
All work to be done on site in Palmdale, CA; client does not allow telecommuting.
- High School diploma/GED
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- US Citizenship
- Valid California Driver License
Ideally, you’ll also have\:
- Associates degree or 2 years’ related experience without a degree
- Basic understanding of CA building codes and Accessibility requirements
- Drafting/computer aided design certificate or 1 years’ experience utilizing AutoCAD
- Interior design knowledge
- Planning/Scheduling knowledge
