We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager (planning) who thrives when people are in sync and projects are properly coordinated. Based out of our Irvine, CA office, reporting directly to the Project Director and working alongside other project managers in Long Beach, CA, you’ll be responsible for planning renovation, modernization and construction of District facilities including schools, portable classrooms, and other support facilities. You will oversee facility planning and design contracts, prepare and maintain records related to planning and construction. You will also perform fiscal analysis, assure funds are appropriately expended, attend a variety of meetings, conferences, and governmental hearings to prepare and deliver oral presentations as assigned.
As the Project Manager (Planning), you’ll be responsible for assist in performing fiscal analysis related to facilities planning and construction accounting, budgeting, invoicing and payment requests. You will manage a variety of special projects as directed and serve as a liaison between District staff and outside agencies. You’ll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven project management techniques.
Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. You’ll play an integral role in mentoring staff, forming long-term relationships with clients, and pursuing new work, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts.

Here’s What You’ll Need:- 5 years of applicable professional experience including proven track record of planning projects and managing educational facilities, corporate / commercial facilities and/or other relevant project experience per role description
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, Architecture or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Good communication skillsets
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
- Experience with the Office of Public School Construction (OPSC) and Division of the State Architect (DSA)
- Knowledge of pertinent building and accessibility codes
