Jacobs is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Rosslyn, VA. In this position you’ll be a part of a team that supports our client’s operational mission readiness. This position requires an Active TS security clearance, SCI eligibility determination and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
Responsibilities:
- You will directly support the customer leading or supporting various projects and initiatives. Projects typically include technology, operational and policy aspects related to current systems, future concepts, capabilities, and processes. Work requires effectively managing independent tasks to meet deliverable expectations and proactive engagement with organizational stakeholders and external mission partners to achieve overall mission success.
- Use problem solving skills and experience to analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to meet future capability requirements. Independently perform such duties as identification and documentation of issues and their probable cause, conduct evaluations using accepted methodologies and problem-solving techniques, access other knowledgeable persons in the area for which they are responsible and research, analyze, interpret, and evaluate data and information to make appropriate recommendations and prepare reports and technical information.
- Lead complex projects from requirements development through design and acquisition, culminating in stakeholder operational test and acceptance.
- Apply technical expertise to make recommendations and support integration of fixes, modifications, enhancements, new systems, and new capabilities into existing operations.
- Participate as expert advisor to customer in various working groups, review meetings and technical exchanges with vendors and mission partners.
- Provides technical review and input to policies, directives, plans, and CONOPS.
- Develop and present technical papers and presentations to convey project status, objectives, and strategic milestones to senior officials; identify and quantify risks that would affect the quality, timeliness, and cost of project services and deliverables; recommend risk avoidance and mitigation plans.
- Advise the customer on the development of technical approaches to solving integration and interoperability related problems.
- Author well researched quality document packages, briefing slides, coordinate and track correspondence, formulate Courses of Action (COA’s) and draft recommendations for customer and senior decision makers that will/may have broad organizational or interagency impact.
- Participate in activities to ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within and across the work program as appropriate.
- Travel as required (5-10%)
