As a Project Manager with Jacobs, you’ll work on challenging projects – planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Assist the Program Manager to perform the preparation of Sub-consultant Scope of Work and Design Development Phases.
- Coordinate technical issues on all water or wastewater-related projects among Jacobs, PRASA, and consultants
- Participate in project review meetings keeping the minutes to these meetings and assigning responsibility for action items to assure projects stay on schedule and budget.
- Sign-off on sub-consultant invoices for work performed to certify that the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the program procedures.
- Coordinate all QA/AC reviews to be performed by consultants. Maintain logs of QA/QC comments and assure that each comment is addressed to the satisfaction of the reviewer and PRASA
- Coordinate with the sub-consultant the permitting preparation and filing on schedule.
- Provide all water or wastewater-related pre-construction status input for the Summary and Monthly Reports
- Assure that all water or wastewater-related pre-construction has been properly uploaded into the PRASA PMIS when it has been satisfactorily completed.
- Assist on the assembling of the Bid Packages for submission to PRASA
- Participate in the bidding process by attending all pre-bid meetings and assist in the answering of bidder’s questions
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering
- At least 4 years of technical experience with small to large treatment and conveyance projects involving simple to complex, multidiscipline, municipal, and regional water and wastewater treatment design facilities.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) license/certificate issued by State Department Board of Professional Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico
- Active member of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico (CIAPR)
- Experience in Engineering Management
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Current experience in Puerto Rico
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
- Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience in Master Planning and Optimization of Water and Wastewater Systems is a plus
Must comply with Law 173, august 12, 1988, as amended; and Law 164, December 16, 2009;
among others and is in good standing with the State Department.
