When you join Jacobs as a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for helping provide oversight of the Package A Contractor and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design and construction elements of the contract scope meet the needs of the overall program goals.
As a key member of the team, you’ll manage and monitor contract project cost and schedules, and report progress. You’ll maintain, adjust, and update project plans, as needed, to communicate and advise the project management team to all issues and risks affecting the project.
We’ll ask you to help develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets consistent with operational and stakeholder needs. You’ll work with senior leaders to contribute relevant data to support annual planning activities.
Additional responsibilities in this role include:
• Providing support to progress and financial reporting, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and change control.
• Assisting with the development, planning, budgeting, coordination, and scheduling of resources required to accomplish support construction activities of the Contractor.
• Implementing technical standards, policies, and procedures as defined within Program documents.
• Maintaining a team environment with all peers.
• Attending and participating in professional group meetings.
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal/external customers to accomplish objectives and provide effective communication.

Here’s what you’ll need:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management
• Significant experience with the delivery of heavy civil, infrastructure, or transit projects as well as managing programs in the transportation industry.
• Strong proficiency with project management core competencies
• Knowledgeable about federal competitive procurement processes and regulations
• Highly motivated and self-directed
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with strong focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project).
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) or other alternative delivery contracting experience.
• Experience with tunnel and underground construction programs
• Direct experience on TBM (tunnel boring machine) construction strongly preferred.
• Experience with geotechnical and underground construction
