Your Impact:
As Stormwater Engineer you’ll join our collaborative Public Works team in Johns Creek and help our stormwater division. You will perform work to meet requirements of the city’s Storm Water Management Program, including overseeing inspection and repair of drainage structures, data collection, MS4 reporting and ensuring improvements meet the hydraulic needs of the City. You will work with the stormwater system assessment to assist in maintaining the existing system and help with capital improvement planning, watershed master planning studies, and stormwater management programs including stormwater control facilities.
Here’s What You’ll Need:- Bachelors Degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering
- Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Desire to learn and use production tools, such as ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD, computer graphic and design programs, and hydraulic modeling software
- Strong interest and basic knowledge of engineering principles and technologies required to support planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance of water infrastructure and natural systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, top-notch organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Familiarization with engineering software/tools (i.e., ESRI, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Internship/Co-op experience
