Jacobs is seeking a System Design - RF Network to join our team supporting our client in the Los Angeles, CA area. You’ll be responsible for verifying all technical details associated with the LMR and PSBN Systems. You will utilize your expertise to assess all antenna locations, frequency pairs, FCC licensing, and all other responsibilities associated with assessing the legitimacy of the LMR and PSBN designs. You’ll also provide technical validation and recommendation to the Jacobs Program Manager and Authority on System Designs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop a subscriber equipment repair plan that includes the procedure for LA-RICS pool radios and intake of subscriber devices. The repair plan will show the product(s) including a flow chart and will show the process of portable, or mobile radio repair/ replacement and provide that flow chart graphic to subscriber agencies.
- Performs analysis on connectivity for any site in the Network, or assist with changes, or other analysis on connectivity requested by the Authority
- Work with the LMR PM to review the telecommunications system contractor’s migration plans for each site and assist the Authority in coordinating the migration process with all jurisdictions well in advance of acceptance testing.
- Works with Onboarding group to develop requirements matrices for onboarding agencies and users
- Verifying all Acceptance Test Plans for adherence to the contract

Here’s What You’ll Need:- High School Diploma
- 10 years of proven experience with public safety communications land mobile radio technologies
- Familiarity with existing radio communications platforms in the region
- Proficiency with MS office products including outlook, excel, word, and .pdf editing software
