The Dispatch Coordinator position is a key role within the company, communicating with carriers and customers in order to coordinate freight and to ensure consistent and timely deliveries. The Dispatch Coordinator works closely with account managers and management, assisting with sales and administrative tasks. The Dispatch Coordinator is constantly acquiring and sharing information to ensure all parties involved are always informed. The Dispatch Coordinator is required to be knowledgeable, and stay up to date, when it comes to market conditions, freight rates, and customer accounts.

Job Duties/Requirements:

  • Answer incoming calls; assist with dispatch calls; perform check in calls for booked loads
  • Data Entry
  • Assist with posting loads; booking carriers on loads; collecting and submitting rate data
  • Read and respond to emails
  • Problem Solving
  • Customer Service
  • Works closely with the entire team, customers, carriers and other key contacts
  • Maintain confidential documents/sheets
  • Generate reports as requested by management
  • Create Word, Excel and Google documents as requested by management
  • Other duties as assigned

Previous experience working in a fast-paced office environment in a similar role, such as a sales assistant, administrative assistant, or customer service representative, with heavy data-entry and multiline phones, is required.

This is a full-time position, working day shift - Monday through Friday. Some overtime is required, especially during our busy season (late fall through the winter).
