What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech I- Molding position at JAE Oregon, Inc.?
JAE Oregon is hiring an Injection Mold Maintenance Technician. This position will work on a training shift for 3-6 months at minimum. The training shift will be 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday. The home shift after training will be 6:00am-4:30pm Thursday-Sunday.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Maintains, repairs, and adjusts production area equipment and tooling as assigned.
2. Ensures all safety devices are in place, functional, and in compliance with Company safety policies and procedures.
3. Accurately records maintenance activities and usage of consumable parts and miscellaneous items.
4. Operates hand tools and hand-held power tools.
5. Monitors tools and equipment and recommends equipment and/or process improvements to the area.
6. Responsible for the proper use and care of all tools and precision measuring equipment issued to the Maintenance area.
7. Completes on-the-job and specialized training as required.
8. Complies with all Company and production area safety policies and procedures.
9. Supports and fosters active participation in, and complies with, corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook.
10. Awareness of job-related environmental impacts.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. One-year experience with the maintenance and repair of plastic injection molds.
2. High school level math including decimals, fractions, and algebra. Understanding of the metric system and conversion between Metric and English units.
3. Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, and profile projectors.
4. Working knowledge of reading prints and sketches.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to use a personal computer in a Microsoft Windows environment, preferred. .

. Ability to read blueprints and identify the exact part described on the print.
2. Ability to select correct measuring devise, accurate to print specifications.
3. Ability to determine a part is within print specifications.
4. Ability to perform maintenance activities in an accurate and repeatable manner.
