Organization Overview
Jail to Jobs is a unique organization that highly values the Christian faith and practices, an individual’s story of personal transformation, community collaboration, and best practices of psychology and the recovery movement. Jail to Jobs utilizes innovative social programs built around a holistic strategy to support the youthful offender who wants to change their life. Our youth are mentored by our staff of mostly ex-felons, who have experienced the same difficulties our youth are facing. After graduation from the Jail to Jobs program, our youth have learned new skills for gainful employment, are empowered with new strategies for making good decisions and built up a support system to keep transforming their lives to reach their true potential.

Organization Facts
- Founded in 2009 in Austin TX.
- We currently have 5 locations in Central Texas
- Serving current and formerly incarcerated youth (age 10-25)
- 501(c)3 organization with a $1.5 million operating budget, and 18 staff
- We serve over 1,000 clients a year, and employ over 200 in transitional employment
Director: A Jail to Jobs Director oversees all activity for an entire county in Texas. This includes building and managing 3 layers of staff to employ and serve clients, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, creating contract social enterprise businesses, and oversees the county budget. Directors report directly to the Executive Director of Jail to Jobs.
