Position: CONTROLLER
James F. Farr Academy Inc. A Non - Profit dedicated to enriching the lives of children.
Definition: Responsible for directing the organization’s accounting and budgeting functions, and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives, including all audits, financial reporting, investments, accounting systems, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, proposals, & governmental reporting.
Provide leadership and professional accounting services that ensures the smooth functioning of the Finance department as a synergistic, service-oriented team in meeting the many and varying needs of the Organization’s internal and external customers. Will work closely with the CEO. Will be responsible to manage and mentor business office team members.

Functions and Responsibilities:
· Set goals and priorities for the department
· Direct all aspects of the accounting processes, procedures and systems.
· Manage and mentor accounting staff; provide annual review of direct reports.
· Work closely with outsourced finance team
· Oversee all daily, weekly and annual accounting processes and cycles (AP, Payroll, Billing, Collections, Deposits, Cash Flow, and Reporting)
· Serve as liaison between the internal accounting team and the organization’s staff and all external entities.
· Work closely with the CEO/CFO
· Perform financial modeling for future growth.
· Direct all audit processes and procedures.
. Stay current on all GAAP rules and regualtion
· Work closely with the consultants on preparation of the UFR and Form 990
· Direct the development and preparation of the budgets, review budget proposals, collect and analyze the annual budget plan, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
· Monitor cash flow analysis
· Build and oversee forecast models.
· Monitor and ensure all reports prepared in Finance are timely and accurate.
· Work with senior management team in understanding the financial information
· Support Contract review for the organization, including UFR and rate setting and compliance with the state and other Agencies
· Maintain contract base knowledge, deliverables, tasks orders, and contract modifications.
· Establish procedures that streamline the department's operations and are consistent with good internal control.
· Oversee purchasing procedures to ensure all activities are consistent internal policies and procedures, contract specific policies, and other generally accepted policies and procedures.
· Oversee fixed assets to ensure proper internal controls are maintained.
. Work with our Vendors to make sure we are getting best price possible. ( Insurance, Leases ect..)
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
