Description
James Thomson is an experienced criminal defense attorney in private practice in Berkeley, California. The firm’s practice is devoted to the defense of indigent clients facing serious charges in state and federal court. We represent clients at trial, on appeal, and in post-conviction proceedings. A large majority of our practice involves death penalty cases.
We are looking for a full-time attorney with 0-3 years of experience who is seeking an intensive experience in handling complex criminal cases and is committed to providing a vigorous, high quality defense. We offer close supervision and training based on our decades of experience.
We are seeking a driven associate attorney with a demonstrated interest in indigent criminal defense and social justice. Applicants must demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills and have a client-centered approach to the work.
