Summary


This position is responsible for generating new commercial cleaning service opportunities within their designated territory based on jointly established goals within the sales department. The primary objective for the position is to aggressively seek sales growth through new monthly service contracts for Jani-King franchise owners to service. The main tasks include high volume B2B prospecting via telephone/email and in person (cold calls), generating initial visit presentation opportunities, performing a needs analysis, presenting a proposed solution to those needs, and securing new monthly service contracts.


Duties & Responsibilities


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Continuously identifies and contacts new prospective customers through phone calls, cold calls, meetings, follow up calls, and emails
  • Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Assists clients with defining current and future needs and potential solutions through strategic problem solving and sensitivity to the client’s needs
  • Presents Jani-King concept to prospects; demonstrating values and benefits
  • Calculates pricing using Jani-King formulas or specialty division guidance
  • Prepares and provides professional proposal presentations to prospects
  • Sells services by establishing contacts and developing relationships with prospects, then recommending service solutions
  • Manages daily activities through CRM, prepares a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Works as part of a sales team with counterparts and managers to share learning, develop best practices, address client service issues, and maximize sales results of the team
  • Attends and actively participates in information/training sessions and meetings as required to maintain full competency in the position


Expectations & Guidelines


This position requires specific expectations and guidelines to be outlined and fulfilled to successfully perform the job function. The following are the minimum expectations of the position and various guidelines associated with them:


Expectations:

  • Expected to deliver a minimum of 20 proposals per month
  • Expected to maintain a minimum of $30,000 in portfolio per month
  • Expected to maintain average minimum of $4,000 in sales per month


Guidelines:

  • Proposals $8,000 and over will be split (co-op) with manager until the employee is has the necessary understanding and skills required to source this size account
  • There are no restrictions on minimum account size monthly value
  • Employee shall not work any public bids (those issued by a public entity)
