Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our growing team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The following essential job functions are performed as a Materials Coordinator, reporting to a Project Team:
- Responsible to make sure all aspects of materials procurement, kitting, and movement across all manufacturing sites for their team’s projects.
- Identifies opportunities to improve supply chain speed, efficiency, cost savings, and inventory levels.
- Works closely with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to ensure project materials do not hold up manufacturing.
- Responsible for reporting on material health and performance to all project stakeholders.
- Provides proactive, outstanding levels of support to all stakeholders in the materials handling process.
- Conducts assessments of team for gaps and provides training opportunities as required for materials related tasks.
- Collaborates with other managers and staff to ensure JI policies, certifications and best practices are adhered to.
- Responsible for managing point-of-use stocking levels and maintaining levels of service. Communicates and coordinates closely with the Operations, Engineering and Purchasing teams to meet organizational goals.
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- 4-year degree in supply chain or related experience preferred.
- Strong analytical abilities, with attention to detail. Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn, grow, and adapt in a highly energized, fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated drive and commitment to excellence.
- Comprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint). Capability to learn and use new systems.
- Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Wage range for this role is between $20 - $40 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
