Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Mill Technician to join our growing team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Mill Technician performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets. Technicians are required to follow detailed designs, instructions, and programming. 5 Axis Mill Operation, includes Tooling knowledge, Calibrated equipment, machine operation, part loading, clamping, and machine maintenance are some daily tasks.
The following essential job functions are performed as a Mill Technician:
- Attention to detail and quality is required
- Reads and understands blue prints, isometric drawings and work orders
- Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads
- Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices
- Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function
- Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
- Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
- Performs prescribed maintenance on machines and facilities as required
- Knowledge of common hand tools
- Works in other Cells to support Production as required, ie; Mold Fab or Assembly Cells
- Performs on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR THIS POSITION.
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferred.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Wage range for this role is between $20 and $40 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
