Your opportunity
- Collaborate with investment teams to write, produce, and edit a variety of equity investment communications, including macroeconomic commentary, market updates, portfolio manager insights, portfolio-specific commentary, and shareholder letters
- Conduct research to support content development, lead portfolio manager and analyst interviews, fact check statements and references, gather and interpret financial data, and analyze portfolio attribution
- Follow market and economic trends and proactively communicate the investment team’s views on timely investment topics via quick-turn articles and videos, longer-form briefs and white papers, webcasts, podcasts, and media placements
- Structure pieces in line with the broader JHI content framework, focusing on bringing our differentiated insights to light, explaining the investment implications of our views, and highlighting potential client implementation techniques
- Establish an understanding of Janus Henderson’s priority products and build relationships with key stakeholders across Investments, Marketing, Distribution, PR, and Compliance
- Take content from concept through completion, ensuring content is compliant for use across distribution channels and regions and suitable for the evolving needs of clients
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
- In-depth understanding of investments and financial markets
- Financial writing experience or journalism background
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Resourcefulness, with the ability to research, data mine, and conceptualize exhibits that support stories
- Creative thinking, able and willing to think outside of “normal” processes
- Diligence, strong planning and implementation skills with a focus on deadlines
Nice to have skills
- Degree-level education, with finance, economics, or similar relevant degree
- Financial qualifications – IMC or CFA, or minimum 10 years of industry experience
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency
- Bloomberg expertise
- WordPress experience

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
