What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dairy Plant Worker position at JARBO?
The Dairy Facility Worker will perform any combination of the following duties/responsibilities:
- Opens containers and bags and dumps various ingredients into machine hoppers
- Starts and stops machines and equipment
- Loads cartons into machines
- Dismantles and reassembles machine
- Attaches pipes and fittings to machines, using wrenches
- Cleans pipe fittings and machines with using brush and cleaning solution
- Does minor adjustments to machines as needed to maintain operation
- Must climb, stoop, crawl, twist turn and move objects above and below the head, and walk continually to perform job function
- May be required to load and move stacks of milk weighing approximately 38lbs onto pallets for a combined total of 240 pounds.
- Utilize pallet jacks to move and stage ice cream racks in the staging and loading of trailers.
- May be required to stack and unstack items weighing approximately 40 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift.
- Working environment is refrigerated in most areas of the plant, so no issues working in temperatures at or around 38* F (Proper PPE will be provided)
