What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pod 70 Disassembly position at Jasper Engines & Transmissions?
The Diesel Engine POD is divided into the following stations listed: disassembly, parts prep, block and head welding/repair, inspection, machining, final assembly, and testing. Disassembly: The disassembly position is very detail-oriented and labor intensive. The position is responsible for removing components from the core engine utilizing hoist apparatus, impact tools, air chisels, and hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers and wrenches. This position will load and unload components into a washer. A lift/turn table is provided to assist in disassembling the core engine. This position may require lifting up to 40lbs. Associates must be fast paced and communicate effectively.
