Business Programmer Analyst (ON-SITE)

Purpose:

The ideal candidate for this role will have both SQL and application development skills:

1. SQL admin/analyst – providing primary support, development and technical leadership of all production and development SQL server instances at Jayco
2. Application Developer – responsible for converting functional requirements into applications using .NET, C#, X and other programming languages as required
3. Business Analyst – work with IT staff and end users to craft and build business requirements for applications

The position will have a wide range of opportunity and projects to develop “from cradle to grave”.

Essential functions 

• Support multiple applications connecting to MS SQL Server
• Database performance tuning and optimization using native or 3^rd party monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Manage database backups, SQL maintenance plans and other scheduled jobs used to maintain database health and uptime
• Serve as in-house development resource within Jayco, assisting on a wide variety of programming projects.
• Provide oversight and guidance of 3^rd party development resources to supplement internal Jayco development resources
   

Required Experience/ Knowledge

• Intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server including ability to write/maintain Stored Procedures, Views and Queries
• DevOps/TFS/Github code management experience
• Knowledge and demonstrated ability to develop applications using .NET, C# or other object oriented language(s)
• Experience with Dynamics AX/D365 is a strong plus
• Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, PowerBI a plus
• Ability to flex between languages/projects depending on requirements
   

Necessary Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in one of these areas: Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience with MS SQL Server
• 1-3 years of experience with front/back end software development
• Prior development experience within a publicly held company (SOX compliance) is a strong plus
• Enjoy a fast-paced, team oriented environment

• This role is not open to remote work.  Candidates are expected to work onsite at Jayco’s corporate office located in Middlebury, IN.
