Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our brokerage and CSR teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and expanding our freight brokerage operations, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the highest level of service is provided to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of freight brokers and customer service reps, setting performance standards and monitoring progress.
• Develop strategies to enhance customer service and optimize broker efficiency.
• Negotiate high-level contracts with carriers and maintain profitable relationships.
• Oversee the management of the entire freight cycle, from order placement to delivery, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies.
• Implement and utilize advanced freight software and technologies to streamline operations and increase tracking accuracy.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in freight brokering and client management.
• Analyze market trends to adjust strategies and enhance competitive positioning.
• Resolve complex issues that escalate beyond the individual broker level.
• Prepare and review reports on the department's performance, and develop plans to improve productivity and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in freight brokerage, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry.
• Proficient with logistics software and database systems.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience with CRM and data analysis tools.
• Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) certification.
• Basic understanding of construction, mining, agriculture and energy equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
